Let’s dive right in! The entire week leading up to the wedding had us all on edge, watching the forecast like hawks—rain was predicted ALL DAY. To calm my nerves (and Briehl’s), I kept tossing good vibes out to the universe, insisting it was going to be a beautiful day. And you know what? The universe delivered! 🌈 It rained that morning, but just one hour before the ceremony, the skies opened up, leaving us with the most breathtaking “after rain” atmosphere. Can I get a “thank you, Mother Nature”? 🙌
Chill Vibes at Getting Ready
When I arrived at Briehl’s place for the getting-ready photos, I was absolutely blown away. This girl was as calm as a freakin’ cucumber! I mean, I have NEVER encountered a bride with such a chill vibe. Briehl and her sweet squad of bridesmaids were lounging in the living room, doing each other’s hair and laughing like they were at a spa day. And let’s not forget the fact that Briehl was already dressed and STILL poured me a mimosa, all while trying to help me with her dress and moving furniture around. Seriously, is there an award for COOLEST BRIDE EVER? Because she deserves it! 🍾✨
Professional Ring Babysitter, Reporting for Duty! 💍
Before heading to the venue, Briehl left me with the rings to take care of—cue the epic responsibility! I was like a hawk watching over those precious symbols of love. I might need to add “professional ring babysitter” to my resume! After capturing all the details, off we went to the venue, excitement bubbling!
The Big Reveal! 💖
Now, let’s talk about the ceremony! Tanner wanted that magical moment of seeing Briehl for the first time as she walked down the aisle, and the look on his face? PRICELESS! His beaming smile as he watched her come down the aisle with her parents (who are also super cool—seriously, I see where she gets it!) was everything. As her dad wiped happy tears from his cheeks, Tanner looked like he was about to burst with joy as he walked Briehl up to the altar. Total fairytale vibes! 🥹💕
Captivating Ceremony Moments
Briehl was just stunning, a tiny bride in a big, beautiful princess dress. They moved through the ceremony with such grace, holding hands, laughing, and soaking in every word from the commissioner. But wait! As I was capturing all the magic, I noticed the Best Man looking at me with the slightest hint of panic. At first, I thought he was just camera-shy, but as the ring exchange approached, I realized—WE FORGOT THE RINGS! 😱
Ring Rescue Mission!
Cue the drama! I sprinted to my amazing second photographer, Mallory, and told her, “It’s in the zipper!” But if you’ve ever seen a camera bag on wheels, you know there are A LOT of zippers. Thankfully, Mallory found it quickly, ran back, and I casually strolled up to hand it off to the groomsmen. They passed the box from one to another until it finally reached the Best Man—talk about a nail-biting moment! We made it just in time! 🎉😂

Private Vows & Dance Moves 💕
After the ceremony, we captured all the family and bridal party photos, but here’s where it gets extra special. Briehl and Tanner took a moment to privately read their personal vows. I switched to my 70-200mm lens to give them some space while still capturing those heartfelt tears streaming down their cheeks. It was a moment filled with love, and once they were done, they were ready to party! 🎊
